Very Rare Stoneware Jar with People Decoration, attributed to Norval Greenland, Uniontown, PA, circa 1870, narrow, cylindrical vessel with tapered body and flared rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of a woman with hat, holding a long branch bearing flowers or fruit. Outstanding form and decoration. This vessel may have been designed to serve as a small table churn. Near mint condition with a 1 1/4" in-the-making line at base on side of vessel. H 11 1/4".
