Early Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1820, approximately one-and-a-half-gallon narrow pitcher with bulbous midsection, decorated with a abstract brushed-cobalt plant design. Poorly restored handle. Large restored area to left side of collar. Restored long J-shaped crack on front. Small in-the-firing base chip. H 14".
