Unusual Two-Gallon Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Incised Decoration, Midwestern or Northeastern US Origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with handles and thin rim, decorated on the front with an incised triangular design with stylized leaves extending from it. Incising highlighted in cobalt. Albany slip glazed interior. Inverted Y-shaped crack extending 6" from rim. Some spidering near base on front, measuring 3" x 3". Group of two 1" lines and one 4" line from rim. Height 11 1/2".
