Two Glazed Redware Jars, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, an ovoid jar with dark lead and manganese glaze and a straight-sided jar with lead glazed exterior, lead and manganese glazed interior, and combed incising at shoulder. Ovoid jar with two cracks from rim, measuring 3" and 2 1/2", and a crack on underside, extending onto base area of jar. Ovoid jar additionally has chips and wear to rim, an area of flaking to surface, and chips to base. Straight-sided jar with base chips, a few rim chips, and wear to glaze at shoulder. H (of ovoid jar) 9 3/4".
