Exceptional 6 Gallon Stoneware Crock with Flowering Plant in Basket Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1860-1874, decorated with a doubled-handled basket and several flowering stems extending from it, the reverse decorated with a horizontal floral design. Repair to large spider crack on reverse and underside. Repair to 3" x 2" hole in underside and to portion of one handle. Front of jar remains untouched. Height 17".
