Fives Pieces of Glazed Redware, American, 19th century, an ovoid jar with manganese splotch decoration, Norwalk, CT origin; a plate with swirled yellow slip decoration; a plate with three yellow-slip stripes, an undecorated plate; and a large lead-and-manganese-glazed jug. Jar with rim and base chips, a 3 1/2" line from rim, and light surface wear. Swirled slip plate with a 4" restored section at rim and minor rim wear. Undecorated plate with light wear. Small plate with a few chips and heavy wear to rim as well as heavy wear to interior. Jug with in-the-firing surface cracks to top of handle, base chips, minor surface wear, and some residue to surface. H (of jug) 15" ; Diam. (of swirl plate) 11 1/4".
