Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with drooping floral motifs on the front and reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Staining throughout much of crock. A 5/8" chip to one handle. A thin, approximately 2" crack on underside, extending 4" up side of crock into handle. H 5 3/8" ; Diam. 8 1/4".
