Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Profuse Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1830, ovoid jar with flared collar and arched tab handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with lavish horizontal and vertical tulip motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A small chip to one handle and tiny glazed-over nick to one handle. Opposite handle with a tiny nick. Rim chips. Some matte, in-the-firing discoloration to base area. H 12 7/8".
