One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Philadelphia, PA Advertising, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with cobalt swags surrounding the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "MADE FOR / WRIGHT SMITH & PEARSALL / NO 5 NORTH 5 ST / PHILADELPHIA." Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some minor in-the-firing flaws to surface and a few small, in-the-firing chips to underside at edge. H 12".
