Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Stenciled Rose Motif, Stenciled "RAGER LLOYD & CO / PALATINE. W. VA," circa 1875, ovoid jug with small, tooled spout, featuring Rager, Lloyd & Company maker's stenciling surrounding a stenciled rose. Wavy stripes above including a stenciled "4." Freehand stripe at base. Some surface wear to front. Two minor spout chips and a miniscule nick to spout molding. H 18".
