Very Rare Molded Stoneware Jar with Albany Slip Glaze, Stamped "S S PERRY / TROY," NY State origin, circa 1828-1833, four-sided jar featuring curved panels, covered in a reddish-brown Albany slip glaze that creates a visually appealing effect as it bleeds into yellow at the base. Underside impressed with rare S.S. Perry circular maker's mark surrounding a stamped cursive "1." A thin 2" crack from rim and a minor chip to interior of rim. H 10 7/8".
