Delta Kappa Epsilon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Mug, Northeastern U.S. origin, possibly S.L. Pewtress, New Haven, CT, second half 19th century, barrel-form mug with cobalt banding, featuring an incised and cobalt-highlighted insignia for Delta Kappa Epsilon, one of Yale's oldest fraternities. Possibly made S.L. Pewtress of New Haven, Connecticut, where Yale is also located. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 4 3/4".
