Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Crock with Relief Eagle Motif, Stamped "EDMANDS, / &, CO. / CHARLESTOWN," MA origin, circa 1852-1868, molded crock with stylized handles and relief decoration of a spread-winged eagle surrounding a wreath bearing the maker's mark of Edward and Thomas Edmands. A 4 3/4" hairline from rim on reverse. Two chips to interior of rim. Wear to eagle motif, handles, and molding below rim. A tiny chip to foot. A drip of white paint(?) to right side of crock's front. H 7 3/8".
