Unusual MINER'S FRUIT NECTAR / BOSTON MASS Stoneware Jug, American, possibly White's Pottery, Utica, NY, late 19th century, cylindrical form with coggled shoulder, the upper body glazed with Bristol slip, the remainder with Albany slip; embossed with the cobalt-highlighted insignia, "THE MINER'S FRUIT NECTAR COMPANY BOSTON, MASS. USA / MANF'G CHEMISTS / FLAVORING EXTRACTS / SODA FOUNTAIN SUPPLIES. A few post-firing base chips and two glazed-over base chips. Spout chips. A 2 1/2" hairline from spout. A horizontal in-the-firing wrinkle in clay to shoulder (not a crack). H 12".
