Unusual Glazed Redware Ink Bottle with Lancaster County, PA Paper Label, PA origin, 19th century, diminutive, cylindrical form with tapered shoulder and narrow mouth, the surface covered in a dark-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Front features the original applied paper label, reading "LOBELIA- Fin[?] / Or No. 1 / Prepared for Reuben Chambers, Bethania, Pa. / Price / Cents." Wear to rim. Two losses to label. H (excluding cork) 3 1/2".
