Very Rare Glazed Redware Face Pipe, Inscribed "D L S," PA origin, 19th century, wheel-thrown semi-ovoid form with hand-modeled and applied clay face including incised eyes, nostrils, and mouth, fashioned with three applied tubular stems. Surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Reverse incised "D L S." Missing one stem. Losses to rim. Some wear to tips of stems and face. H 3".
