Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a finely-slip-trailed design of a ring-necked bird perched on a stylized, dotted branch. Flaking to far right side of front, extending around to reverse. 1 3/4" contact mark / chip at base on reverse. Three small chips to interior of rim. Contact mark to right side of front.
