Rare Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Pitcher, Stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG," circa 1890, bulbous cream pitcher with short flared collar, decorated with colorful splashed green and brown glaze over a cream colored ground. Excellent form and superior color. This example is somewhat larger and more ovoid than most Valley pitchers of this type. Impressed with the maker"s mark "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG" (light stamp) on the underside. Very nice condition, with minor flaking on one side, and minor rim wear. Height 7".
